Workshop on FEMA Regulations, FDI Policy, and New ODI Regulations -19th April 2025 in Mumbai

About the programme

Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) was introduced in India in 1999 to facilitate external trade and payments. All transactions involving foreign exchange fall under the purview of the FEMA read with the FDI policy. The Act relaxed foreign exchange restrictions resulting in significant flow of investments into India making it one of the most flourishing FDI destinations in the world. FEMA also encouraged Indian businesses to go for aggressive overseas investment. With these growing inbound and outbound investments, it becomes critical for the forward looking and expanding businesses to understand the magnitude and complexity of the FEMA regulation before they get into any transactions involving foreign exchange.
